Re: Global Markets see rally on greek exit
Sat, 19 May 2012 08:49:43 GMT
Hi Fund/ evan
well lets look at the picture, if greece leaves or gets evicted would it be such a bad thing? then would others follow? would the IMG make Greece or be able to make Greece pay back what they owe? what if greece were to make a success of exiting the Euro like Argentina did with the Dollar? surely that would encourage others to follow would it not? i never believed in this Euro hype in the first place, all it was, was Germany trying to rule the world once more but this time politically, how can countries do what's best for their own economies when they are being dictated to? what's good for one country isn't good for all, it's like feeding all your children the same food, lol, is it my family or does everybody els'es kids want something different to eat? lol, anyway you get my drift, maybe it's time it was dissolved, we can take the almighty crash then get on with life, but all the time we have this Euro around our necks, we are doomed, Markets love having the Euro to make profits, no doubt they would find something else to pick on, we keep coming back to Greece, Nuke them i say, lol M

Re: BIBLE PROPHECY SAYS WE ARE LIVING IN THE GENERATION THAT WILL SEEE JESUS RETURN!!!
Tue, 24 Apr 2012 15:23:35 GMT
World War III is coming. Most of us were not even here on earth when World War II happened. It was a horrific war. 52 million died. In World War I – 8 million died. But in this coming war, according to an ominous biblical prophecy, over 2 billion will die. That is forty times the number killed in World War II, one-third of mankind! One out of three will die on this planet in this coming holocaust. This single cataclysmic event could propel the peoples of the world into the arms of the man of sin and his one world government. World War III will bring destruction beyond belief to the human race. In this war of all wars, entire nations will cease to exist!
100% Certainty
According to Revelation 9:14, the war will originate from the area of the Euphrates River which flows through the Middle East, the region of Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran. WW III – Entrance Ramp for the Antichrist proves with 100% certainty how this is going to happen.
Is This Really What the Prophecy Says?
“And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. (Revelation 9:15) The “third part of men” would be over 2 billion people dead! Other translations read “one-third of the human race;” “one-third of all the people on earth;” “one-third of humanity.” They all say the same thing! A war is just ahead that will kill over 2 billion human beings.
A Man to Lead the Way Out
After this prophesied global holocaust, people will beg for a strong man, from somewhere, to lead the way out of the chaos and destruction and into peace and security. Such a man does exist. The Antichrist will step onto the world scene at the right moment. He will offer leadership and direction, but his price will be absolute obedience.
Four Major Prophecies
According to the prophetic timeline given in scripture, there are four major biblical prophecies, in progress right now, that will coincide with the rise of the Antichrist.
1.) International Peace Plan for the Middle East
2.) Building of Israel’s Temple
3.) Preparing for the Mark of the Beast
4.) War fought along the Euphrates River (A war which originates from the Euphrates River)
An Existential Threat
Russian China, Great Britain, France, the United States and Germany have pressured Iran, without success, to conform to the will of the United Nations and the international community. Barack Obama has called Iran an “existential threat to Israel” and says he understands why Israel feels it may need to launch unilateral air strikes to take out the Islamic nation’s developing nuclear program.
Everything Affected
The Middle East is in turmoil, and WW III – Entrance Ramp for the Antichrist details how this war is going to come out of the Euphrates River area, resulting in the killing of over one-third of the human race. It is going to happen, and it will affect you, everything you do, our nation, our world, our families, our businesses, everything. And it looks like it is coming sooner, rather than later.

Re: House prices rise again??
Wed, 18 Apr 2012 15:37:54 GMT
Hope you had a good day Marco.
Well - I'm a Libran (apparently).
I don't normally believe in this tosh, but my stars in the paper the other day had me off to a tee:-
"Why are Librans so rarely content to take things at face value? Why must they probe and pry, quiz and question, faff and fiddle? Because people born under your sign know that little in life is ever straightforward. The deeper you dig, the more likely you are to unearth a true treasure. You could have a much easier life if you were now to subscribe to the superficial view of a complex situation. But in the long run, if you were to do this, your experience would be a lot less rewarding."
LOL.

Re: Halifax NewBuy Mort
Tue, 17 Apr 2012 12:38:31 GMT
My son is a bank manager for The Halifax, he says the more you put down the less the interest rate is, appraently you can get 3.5% with Halifax if you put down 50% deposit, seems steep to me, as the BOE Base rate is still 0.5%, are they really paying that much more to each other in rates? Mmmmm me thinks there is a massive Cartel going on here within the Banking system, as always!!, gone are the days they were all reducing their rates to get your business, now they put on one off fees, always got an angle, lol.

Re: "Nation of Renters"
Tue, 17 Apr 2012 12:27:47 GMT
Monty, the trouble we have in this country is that they put a protection order on alot of crap buildings that look so fecking ugly they need knocking down, i mean look at the great west Road in Brentford, some of the ugliest looking buildings i have ever seen, they should demolish the lot & put up decent flats, could even put more than there are right now, more of this could help solve some of the housing problems, we will never fix it completely as Population keeps increasing, also let people convert houses into flats, stop the restrictions, people need 1/2 bed homes, in some properties you have 1 little old lad/man in a 6/7 bedroom house by me, WTF is that all about? offer them full market for the house then split it into flats, the Gov could do this by taking on apprentices then training them & paying them a small wage, get them off Social Benefits,. then the Gov could sell the properties Generating revenues & more homes for people, is it me? am i the only person who has thought of this? is this not getting the economy working again? we need extra homes, we need people off social, & councils make revenue, Duhhhh! No brainer to me, M

Asking Prices Up Again
Mon, 16 Apr 2012 13:58:26 GMT
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/london-market-lifts-asking-prices-to-a-record-high-7647266.html
I think this is indicative of the "mix" of housing for sale, more than anything.
FTBs are not buying, which means that the cheaper end of the buy/sell equation is quiet. So there are, proportionally, more expensive properties for sale.

Re: Halifax reports 2.2% Jump in HPs
Wed, 11 Apr 2012 06:56:35 GMT
Morning Fund, i agree with what you say, the thing is, properties where i am are still selling, maybe it's more affluent, maybe it's because there are not as many properties for sale as there were a few years ago, but very few 1st time buy properties where we are, in fact i would say hardly any? why? because of the prices they command, a 2 bed property in twickenham would go for about £230,000, where are 1st time buyers going to get the funds from? here is an example, it's crazy how prices have risen, i can't ever see them coming down now, supply & demand, anyone already on the property wagon should be happy, for those that are not, it may be too late, M

New Right to Buy Scheme
Tue, 03 Apr 2012 14:42:33 GMT
Have a look at this:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Nl1/Newsroom/DG_201636
Absolutely eye-popping.
From today tenants could benefit from a higher discount of up to £75,000, depending on how long they have been a tenant. This will mean, for example, that:
- someone in Birmingham who had been a tenant for fifteen years could buy their £90,000 flat with a discount of £63,000 compared to £26,000 previously
- in London, a tenant for five years buying a flat worth £160,000 would receive a discount of £75,000 - more than four times the previous cap of £16,000.
A cynic might think that it is a great way for the government to flush poor people out of well to do areas.
An optimist might might say that it is a great way for poor people to become flush with cash.
Either way, it is far far bigger than anything I was expecting to see. And revolutionary, make no question of that.
But, at a time when there is a shortage of social housing, and the government is so short of funds, why give such HUGE discounts?
